The Steamboat Springs market experienced much of the pain that was happening nationwide. The brighter outlook for our market was, and remains, our town, resort, and community, that continue to appeal to a diverse group of people who, quite frankly, envy our lifestyle and want to become a part of it. We've had some success in marketing this intrinsic value. Going forward, lifestyle will continue to be one of our strongest marketing tools.
In all classes of real estate for 2009, residential, land and commercial, the number of sales reported by the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors, Multiple Listing Service were 476 units sold for an average price of $572,654.00. The maximum sales price was $18,703,875 and the minimum was $10,000. Interestingly, the sale price to list price ratio remained above 90%.
Once again, the Vanatta Team was number one with 4.4% of total volume sold. This number includes listings of the Vanatta Group that sold, along with real estate purchased by buyers whom the Vanatta Group represented.
