There was a great article in the Sunday Pilot from Tom Ross about the Covered Bridge Home at Catamount Ranch.
A brief recap of the article; The Covered Bridge House, overlooking the 7th fairway at Catamount golf course, was ahead of its time when it was built in 2000. It's still technologically ahead of most homes in the area and on par with some of the newer luxury homes in town.
Originally listed for $9.9 million, the price of the 10,492-square-foot house recently was dropped to $5 million furnished or $4.75 million unfurnished.
"To replace this house would cost a lot more than $5 million," said Pam Vanatta, broker/co-owner of Steamboat Prudential Realty. "Everything in the home is custom. They have $8 million in it. It has the best of everything."
Tom Ross goes on to explain where the name of the home came from and the special characteristics of the covered bridge. Read the full article and the Steamboat Pilot and Steamboat Homefinder.
