    The 10 Largest Homes in Steamboat currently for sale

There are over 120 single family homes for sale in Steamboat priced at over $1,000,000.  With this many luxury homes, there are bound to be some extra-large, extra-luxury properties.  Here are the 10 largest homes based on amount of finished square feet:

10. Up Rabbit Ears pass is the perfect bed & breakfast with 8,659 finished sq ft. Priced at only $1,100,000, this is the most affordable of the large properties on the list.

The Institute of Luxury Marketing recently came out with a list of the most requested amenities in a luxury home. Their survey was nationwide, so we came up with a list of the top 10 most requested luxury amenities as seen by The Vanatta Group.  This list is a bit more Steamboat specific and both lists might surprise people.

There was a great article in the Sunday Pilot from Tom Ross about the Covered Bridge Home at Catamount Ranch. 
A brief recap of the article; The Covered Bridge House, overlooking the 7^th fairway at Catamount golf course, was ahead of its time when it was built in 2000.  It's still technologically ahead of most homes in the area and on par with some of the newer luxury homes in town.  
Originally listed for $9.9 million, the price of the 10,492-square-foot house recently was dropped to $5 million furnished or $4.75 million unfurnished.
"To replace this house would cost a lot more than $5 million," said Pam Vanatta, broker/co-owner of Steamboat Prudential Realty. "Everything in the home is custom. They have $8 million in it. It has the best of everything."
