The ski season started off with a bang as we were able to make runs all the way from the top of the gondola to the bottom. Since then, we’ve had cold weather but not much new snow. This has allowed the mountain crews to make some manmade snow and last week skiers and riders could make their way from the top of Storm Peak to the bottom. There’s supposed to be some snow in the forecast, but today is a bluebird sky day. I predict a white Christmas and some snowy holidays coming up.
As for real estate, we’ve been busy with some great new listings and some amazing price drops. For new listings we have:

In case you missed the latest issue of Ski Magazine, Steamboat was named the 8th best ski resort in North America. It’s been a few years since we made the top 10, but we are back thanks to an infusion of new restaurants and lodging options, base area improvements and continued small town charm. Thank you to everyone involved in the Tour de Steamboat and the Sunshine Kids pre-ride benefit dinner. The event was a huge success attended by more than 250 people and well-exceeded our goal of raising $65,000 from the entire Tour de Steamboat event- thus for the first time covering the entire cost of Sunshine Kids' Annual Steamboat Winter Games trip.
Friday night was the pre-ride dinner and silent auction which sold out in record time. Special thanks to all those that dedicated time and prizes to the event. Prizes came from all over and included everything from Broncos tickets, to catered dinners, to a Palm Springs vacation to custom titanium bike frame.

A winter storm warning has been in effect in Steamboat for the past 36 hours and will end today around 11am. And if you are not here to experience this, let me tell you that it is true! We've had a reported 14" of new snow in the last 24 hours and 20" in the last 48 hours (I would swear that there is more than that though). Hopefully you will have a chance to get on the mountain and experience an epic powder day in the boat.
